SparkCharge Fuels EV Future with Mobilize Charging

SparkCharge is putting EV charging on wheels, thanks to a fresh $30.5 million in funding. The company plans to use the money to grow its mobile, on-demand charging network across North America, challenging the idea that EVs have to plug in at fixed locations.

The round includes $15.5 million in equity, led by Monte’s Fam, with backing from Collab Capital, Cleveland Avenue, Non-sibi Ventures, Elemental Impact, and MarcyPen. Horizon Technology Finance added a $15 million loan to the mix.

Instead of relying on traditional charging stations that need costly permits and slow construction, SparkCharge delivers power directly to electric vehicles. Its mobile platform is aimed at fleet operators, rideshare services, and businesses switching to electric. The appeal? Setup in days, not months.

“We’re seeing a clear demand for flexible, mobile charging solutions that meet fleets where they are,” said a spokesperson for Cleveland Avenue.

As governments push for cleaner transport and businesses rush to electrify, the need for nimble, scalable charging has never been greater. SparkCharge hopes to fill that gap with a model that can move wherever the EVs are.

The company also has its sights set beyond the U.S., with plans to expand into Mexico and Canada. But growth won’t come easy. Navigating regional rules and managing real-time operations across large distances will be no small feat.

Still, with strong investor support and a market leaning into flexibility, SparkCharge could have a real shot at reshaping how EVs get their juice. If the future of charging is about speed and convenience, mobile might just be the way forward.
